Suffolk County Athletics Association (SCAA)
Our club is affiliated with SCAA, which provides our members with free automatic entry into the Suffolk Grand Prix series. Please note: members still need to pay for their entry into each individual race within the series, which is open to the wider running community. However, you benefit from friendly competition among local running clubs and it encourages widespread participation across various age groups and abilities. The series comprises multiple races throughout the year, with participants accumulating points based on their performance in each event. The overall standings are determined by the total points earned, promoting both individual and team achievements.
The competition encourages runners to compete in as many events as possible, with their best 5 scores counting towards the final series table. It’s possible to complete 5 races without running further than 10k, and there’s half marathon and 20 mile distances for those who want to race longer distances. This inclusive approach allows runners of all levels to contribute to our club’s success and enjoy the camaraderie of the running community. For more information, visit the SCAA website.
